Charlbury station to be renamed
GWR has announced that Charlbury railway station is to be renamed.
The station is to become ‘Soho Farmhouse Parkway’ to recognise its role as the railhead for the Cotswolds’ most sought-after members’ club. It follows on the heels of Bicester Town station being renamed Bicester Village after the shopping outlet.
The station building is currently being transformed into a champagne bar, where Soho Farmhouse members can wait in the unlikely event of a GWR service being delayed.
Locals will still be able to use the station but are asked to wait in the shelter on Platform 1 to avoid lowering the tone.
