An Invitation from Wilderness Festival
Dear Charlbury Residents,
Wilderness festival team need to apply for a revised licence for the event in 2014. Before we put in an application, we'd like to consult you on our plans and get your input. We'll be holding an open evening on Monday 13th January, in the Cornbury Room at The Bell on Church St from 6pm and hope to take your questions and thoughts on our plans for Wilderness 2014.
All welcome! Drinks and snacks will be provided, hope very much to see you there.
For anyone who would like to attend earlier in the day, Wilderness will be available at The Bell from 3pm.
With best wishes,
Wilderness

Charlbury charity seeks two new trustees
The Charlbury Motor Fire Brigade Fund is currently in the process of appointing two new trustees. Established in 1975, the Fund now administers the assets realised from the sale a few years ago of the old fire-engine house in Browns Lane. Its income is used to provide financial grants to organisations and individuals within Charlbury and the surrounding district, where public funding sources are not otherwise available.
The Fund is registered with the Charity Commission. The trustee positions are on a voluntary basis, with trustees' meetings being called on an as-needed basis, relating mainly to requests for grants. While the Fund would greatly appreciate applications from people who - as trustees - can offer a background or other expertise in either financial or legal matters, this is not essential: a willingness to spend a little of your time to help run the Fund is equally valuable.
For more information on how to get involved with this Charlbury-based charity, and to help develop its future success, please get in touch with the Honorary Secretary, Simon Walker, on 01608 811414.
