UK to Ukraine - Garden Tools collection - Can you help?
'UK to Ukraine' is collecting garden tools to send out with our next transport of supplies. VICTORY GARDENS is a fantastic new initiative to help this proud nation feed itself. There are over 6 million displaced people sheltering in the west of Ukraine, which has created a massive pressure on food supply.
This scheme is a collaboration with our partner NGO Stowarzyszenie Folkowisko and Western Ukrainian councils who have designated large areas (the size of Wiltshire) to grow veg to ease the food pressure in the coming months.
How can you help?
Do you have any spare gardening equipment hiding in your garage? If so, drop it (clean and in good working order please) to HUNDLEY COTTAGE, HUNDLEY WAY, CHARLBURY by Saturday 16th April.
We need: Forks, Spades, Hoes, Rakes, Trowels, Secateurs, 3 prong cultivators.
