Last High Speed Train on the Cotswold Line? Sunday 10th
Charlbury residents who've trekked down to the station to see steam trains in recent months might be interested to know of another landmark this afternoon - possibly the last HST (aka "InterCity 125") in regular service on the Cotswold Line.
The train is passing through Charlbury westbound at 15.02, and eastbound at 17.32.
HSTs have been the mainstay of long-distance services on the Cotswold Line since the 1980s, but have now been replaced by the new Intercity Express trains.
