Ernest John Akers 1928-2018
The family of Ernest are sad to announce that he passed away at the JR Hospital on Sunday 4th February 2018.
Ernest lived his whole life in Charlbury and was a well-known resident of the Town having worked at the Railway Station on his "retirement" from Morris Motors and then latterly in News & Things.
He also served as a Town Councillor and was chair of the Nine Acres Management Committee.
His cremation will take place at Banbury on 21st February at 12noon. This will be followed by drinks and refreshments at the Rose & Crown in Charlbury.
Anyone who knew Ernie is more than welcome to attend the cremation and/or join the family afterwards in the Rose & Crown to celebrate his life.
