CHARLBURY DEBATING SOCIETY
Residents will be interested to know that the eminent Charlbury Debating Society convened in the Corner House on Wednesday evening for its autumn session.
After a wide-ranging, often heated discussion, the motion, "DESPITE EVERYTHING, WE ARE GRADUALLY GETTING BETTER AS A SOCIETY", proposed by Glena Chadwick and opposed by Peter Whitfield, was carried by 75% to 12.5%, with 12.5% abstentions.
Congratulations to all who came and all who took part!
