Arrest made in burglary investigation

Thames Valley Police has arrested two men as part of its investigation into burglaries in West Oxfordshire.

A 42-year-old man from Cheltenham, in Gloucestershire, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with four burglaries. He has been released on bail to return to Abingdon police station on 8 January. He has been arrested in connection with burglaries in Ditchley Road, Charlbury; Paines Hill, Steeple Aston; Oxford Road, Bladon; and The Ridings, Leafield which all happened on Tuesday (13th November).

A 34-year-old man from Gloucestershire has also been charged with a burglary that happened in Cassington Road, Eynsham, on October 30.

Det Insp Rob France, from Witney police station, said: "West Oxfordshire is a low crime area but there has recently been an increase in burglaries and I would urge residents to remain vigilant and protect their homes."
