Beacon Project Charlbury
Beacon Project Charlbury is a co-housing group based in West Oxfordshire, UK. Co-housing is now an increasingly popular solution for meeting local housing needs, which in many rural areas are particularly acute. It offers sustainable development, low energy needs, and a lessened impact on the local natural environment, as well as community-building through the use of some shared resources and facilities.
Beacon Project Charlbury is currently in discussions with West Oxfordshire DIstrict Council and local landowners to identify suitable land for a co-housing development. Any proposal to develop a site will be opened up for discussion with the wider Charlbury community, who will be encouraged to comment on the proposals and ask questions about what is involved. We plan to hold a public meeting and exhibition about the Project aim's in the near future.
We are particularly interested to hear from people (especially families) in the Charlbury area who may be interested in getting involved in the Project or who share an interest in co-housing or the aims of the Project. You would be welcome to join the group's next meeting and find out more, so please get in touch.
