Hmmm - might just be a way to increase local taxes - Boris has just announced £1.50 /day costs to park motorbikes.....cycles would surely be next!

To be fair to OCC, they do have some interest in cycling, but unfortunately in recent years it hasn't manifested itself outside Oxford and the major towns (Witney, Bicester). At present the vast majority of the OCC cycling budget is devoted to Oxford City.

A little encouragement of responsible cycling in rural areas would be good - we have traffic problems too! - and the Charlbury Cycling Group hopes to help this on its way.

Might be of interest to some commuters hereabouts. Wouldn't be nice if a Conservative controlled authority near us had a similar interest in cycling??
