What’s on

Thu 6 Feb: The Charlbury Society : Thursday 6th February, 7.30 by Zoom

Dad’s Underground Army, with Bill King

Unknown to the villagers who lived nearby, Coleshill House was requisitioned as the top-secret training headquarters for Auxiliary Units, or the British Resistance,  part of precautions put in place during World War II should a German invasion take place. Sadly the house is no longer standing, but the estate, barns and bunkers have been restored by the National Trust so that we may learn of the important events that took place there.

Members, please  join us shortly before 7.30pm;  guests are very welcome (£3) who should contact mem.charlsoc@gmail.com a week before the talk on the 6th February to ensure you receive the link on time .

We regret that we are unable to assist with connection problems on the evening of the event.
