Sat 8 Feb 2025: Introduction to Silk Screen Printing Workshop at The Shed, Charlbury 8th of February 2025

This is a new workshop I've organised for February the 8th as I was pleasantly surprised by the interest in my silk screen printing workshop I've organised in January!

Silk Screen Printing Workshop - Saturday 8th of February - 10am – 4pm

Venue : The Shed, 9 Acres Lane, Charlbury, Oxfordshire. - not too far from the train station if

you are arriving by train.

No experience necessary.

Age – this workshop would suit anyone from around 14 years old and upwards.

£85 per person – spaces are limited.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

Come and learn how to silk screen print! In this one-day workshop you will learn how to

make a paper cut stencil for screen printing. There will be opportunity to work with some

existing designs before progressing on to making a two or even three colour print.

In the morning you will be making some screen prints on paper using existing designs to cut

as stencils. Once you have built up a bit of confidence, we will then start moving on to 2 and

3 colour prints. In the afternoon I will help you develop your own ideas for a print – source

materials to develop your design will be provided but feel free to bring your own images to

work from. The majority of prints will be printed on paper; however, you will also be able to

print your design onto a tea towel or a fabric tote bag towards the end of the day.

We will be using water based acrylic printing ink as well as craft knives to cut the stencils.

There will be a number of silk screens with different colours to work on through the day.

Wearing old clothes is advisable or bring an apron.

We will have a short break for lunch of around about 30 mins – please bring a packed lunch

with you.
