Sun 12 Jan 2025: Lessons From History

Double Bill of two short new plays, 7.30pm The Memorial Hall

Following on from the sellout of this production at the Burton Taylor Studio in Oxford, Tall Story are delighted to bring this production back home to Charlbury for its premiere!

An Innocuous Prick by Ian Cox

This play has contemporary resonance focusing on local rows, riots and politics as compulsory smallpox inoculations are introduced in the late C19 and the impact on the small Oxfordshire town of Charlbury.

Paddy Hitler by Kieran Cooke

This intriguing soliloquy on power and politics looks at the often tortured life of Paddy Hitler, son of Hitler’s elder half-brother and Irish mother: as WWII approaches Britain is desperate to win Paddy over to its side.

This event is a fundraiser for Crisis, the charity for people experiencing homelessness. Tickets are £10 and can be reserved by contacting Tim Crisp at tjcrisp@icloud.com
