Sat 28 Jul-Sun 29 Jul 2012: Riverside Festival (rescheduled date)
This event is in the past.
Saturday 28 July: 12.00pm - 10.00pm
Sunday 29 July: 11.00am - 8.00pm
Location: The Mill Field, Dyers Hill, Charlbury, Oxfordshire OX7 3QG
Entrance to the Festival site is opposite Charlbury railway station.
Riverside has become a major fixture in Oxfordshire's music calendar, with more than 30 acts playing across two stages - indie, rock, jazz, folk, blues and world music - something for everyone. Despite the work involved in putting on an event of this size, the Festival is still run entirely by local volunteers and still free for all to enter. It's a truly family-friendly festival, with a dedicated kids' area kitted out with a bouncy castle and activities.
NEW FOR 2012
This year Riverside invites anyone with talent, young or old, professional or amateur to compete for the title Riverside Street Star. Whether your skill is stand-up comedy, juggling, streetdance, snake charming, story telling or even just standing still as a statue, book yourself a slot by emailing your name, a one line description of your act and when you'd like to perform to buskers@riversidefestival.charlbury.com. Each festival goer can pick up a token on their way in and drop it in the hat of their favourite busker, whoever gets the most tokens wins.
