Hi Everyone

I hope all is well with you.  We're back open this week (Thursday and Friday evening) with a lovely warming Autumnal menu (full details are below).

The tomatoes are in smaller amounts now so we’re putting them in the bread this week with our plentiful rosemary. Fresh and zingy pickled courgettes with chilli and fennel tops and lacto fermented beans with ginger are on the pickle plate.

I got the inspiration for the savory Eccles cakes from Anna Jones’ new book, ‘Easy Wins’ which has lots of great veg ideas, ours are stuffed with this year’s plentiful onion harvest and delicious Moreton cheese from @kingstonedairy . It comes with an earthy-sweet-sour ferment with beetroots and apples.

Lovely warming strews form the base of this week’s menu hyper-local Pudlicote Farm beef (free range, grass-fed) and a lovely veggie mix of Hodmedod pulses, chestnuts, organic mushrooms and new season squash.

Pud is a delicious brown sugar meringue with apples from the garden and Styan plums in spiced syrup or sticky Yarlington cheese (washed in cider), organic oatcakes and our chutney.

I’ve done a new board in the shop so you can read more about our produce, suppliers and growers, so if you're in do take a look.

We’d love to see you! Booking details are https://www.chloescharlbury.com/reservations - it might be worth noting that this menu can be made suitable for dairy free, vegan and gluten free diets.

We also have an event for women working in hospitality or food in our area, on 21st October, it's almost full but we'd love to see you if you can make it.  Tickets are on the 'events' page on our website.

Take care and see you soon -
