Tue 14 Nov 2023, 18:10 Hi Everyone I hope this finds you all well. Below is this weeks menu. We'll also be hosting Charlbury Preschool's annual sushi night on Saturday from 5pm. There'll be a delicious mix of boxes and miso soup to choose from, all available to eat in or takeaway (no bookings on Saturday night). We'll also be making some delicious Japanese-themed cocktails as well as our usual mix of local beers and low intervention, biodynamic and organic wines, local gin and soft drinks too. A bit more on this weeks food: This week we’re celebrating the arrival of King Stone Dairy's newest cheese, Burford. A buttery alpine-style babe made with the most aromatic summer milk and made meters away from the grazing cows at Chedworth just a few miles down the road. We’re serving it with @saltpigcuring pork loin toast and our chutney and pickles. Other highlights this week include our first savoy cabbages from the lovely folk Kitchen Garden People with labneh, our (take on) kimchi and naughty crispy onions. A little mezze of autumnal bits: parsnip scordalia, Horta (Greek greens), beet raita and organic feta sauce. Local Salt Pig Curing Sorbrasada (Spanish-style spicy sausage) with Charlbury’s own Evenlode honey on @forgehousebakery toast. Plenty of beautiful kale this week for I’m our lovely friends at Church Lane Produce which is being used in a punchy, peppery pesto to go with bread, the slaw and the Horta. We feel so lucky to have all this wonderful growers and producers on our doorstep and can’t wait for you to come and enjoy their wares with us! As ever we are open 12-10 Thursday and Friday.
