Christine is correct. There is a gap between the second dose and the booster for a good reason, and it's because it is more effective that way. The 6 month gap is as advised by the JCVI.

This is a chart of vaccine booster doses per hundred people from the excellent Our World In Data (based in Oxford) to see where the UK stands. Israel (not shown) is much higher too.

nb. I have a paper certificate for my vaccinations, but whether that is accepted anywhere I don't know.
