Everyone should be aware that the revised plan is now open for consultation see cmis.westoxon.gov.uk/Cmis/Document.ashx?czJKcaeAi5tUFL1DTL2UE4zNRBcoShgo=O6p35fH5JZlLRp9BuVLWNxKH1UpPFk5HCQvWYOtBiVm4w2qyvqLc9Q%3d%3d&rUzwRPf%2bZ3zd4E7Ikn8Lyw%3d%3d=pwRE6AGJFLDNlh225F5QMaQWCtPHwdhUfCZ%2fLUQzgA2uL5jNRG4jdQ%3d%3d&mCTIbCubSFfXsDGW9IXnlg%3d%3d=hFflUdN3100%3d&kCx1AnS9%2fpWZQ40DXFvdEw%3d%3d=hFflUdN3100%3d&uJovDxwdjMPoYv%2bAJvYtyA%3d%3d=ctNJFf55vVA%3d&FgPlIEJYlotS%2bYGoBi5olA%3d%3d=NHdURQburHA%3d&d9Qjj0ag1Pd993jsyOJqFvmyB7X0CSQK=ctNJFf55vVA%3d&WGewmoAfeNR9xqBux0r1Q8Za60lavYmz=ctNJFf55vVA%3d&WGewmoAfeNQ16B2MHuCpMRKZMwaG1PaO=ctNJFf55vVA%3d

This is particularly relevant now as it is the main document that lays down the rules for deciding planning applications such as that at Fiveways
The plan lasts until 2031 when in force. This version contains changes made after the previous version was refused by the examiner mainly because Oxford City require more homes and each district in Oxfordshire has to provide them
There are some new provisions for areas in the AONB which would apply here and this is probably why the developers are pushing forward now
However the planning application has to take into account even plans which are not yet in force such as this local plan and our Neighbourhood Plan.
There is a section in the document which relates specifically to the Burford/Charlbury sub-area and which states that over the whole area and over the whole period its says that 1026 new homes are needed however 524 have already been completed or have been approved. Therefore annually only about 20 new homes are required per year across the whole Burford/Charlbury area
This means that there is no need for developments in Charlbury of the size proposed for Fiveways so their argument that they are supplying housing needs by this development is completely untrue
