Sun 23 Oct 2022, 13:02 Hi Tony, I found this in Gigaclear's legal stuff "10) Average speeds listed, achievable by at least 50% of users on a wired connection at peak times. WiFi speeds may vary." It may down to a fault or it could be down to how they packet shape/deal with busy periods. I didn't go for Gigaclear because I found them inflexible when dealing with their sales people, it was "computer says no" , so can't test from here. |

Sun 23 Oct 2022, 12:17 Does anyone else experience a big drop-off in Gigaclear in the evenings? We live near the Primary School and have 600 speed with no lagging all day, but about 7 to 8pm we get major "packet loss" and latency (lagging) and the speed drops way down (a result of all the lagging I think). Then about 11 to 12pm it's all fine again. I've had several calls with Gigaclear, but they seem reluctant to send an engineer in the evening to check what's going on. |
