Fri 14 Oct 2022, 17:13 (last edited on Fri 14 Oct 2022, 17:14) On Saturday 22nd, Vox Chamber Choir are coming to St Mary’s for a one-hour concert of Vaughan Williams – whose 150th anniversary is this month – and Howells. I am absolutely gutted that there’s a concert of my two favourite composers and it’s on an evening when I’m not in town! But the Howells Requiem is a gorgeous piece, all lush harmonies and long lyrical lines. Do go if you can – it should be something quite special. Event page: https://www.charlbury.info/events/8228 |
