This is a wonderful initiative Chloe – well done for setting this up. I've always thought it would be great to have a more regular market in town, so will be aiming to come down and shop. Bravo.

Lovely idea Chloe, good luck with it! Unfortunately I don't have enough honey this year to sell but I'm hoping to scale up so hopefully next year!

See you around town. Ben

Thought this was a great idea until we saw the location for the market, yes a weekly market would be great but please have it in the centre of town, we are killing our shops by having these " ad on's " away from the town centre, the other farmers market also does very little to help the local shops by being out of the centre and so will this market because it does not encourage footfall down to the centre, customers will once again no doubt drive to the carpark get out of their car walk to the community centre then back to their car.

Great idea but sorry lousy location

Hey Chloe! Awesome idea! Janet Burroughs has hives, as do a couple of other people in town. Give Janet a holler.

Hi Everyone

I am helping to facilitate a new weekly market highlighting produce in and around Charlbury for five weeks this Autumn.

The idea is to see if there is space for a regular event like this in our community and, if so, to get an idea from you what you'd like to see.

I will be at the Community Centre this Saturday morning posters and flyers if anyone would like to come and find out more.  I'll also be selling my bread and buns and Wilder Flower Farm will also be here with some beautiful blooms.  We would love a volunteer or two who might be able to help set up on a Saturday morning too.

There will be produce from Me (Chloe Horner, Oxfork), Local eggs and vegetables from Church Lane Produce, additional vegetables from Styan (profits go to Charlbury's Cornerstone, weekly veg boxes and produce are available to collect), beautiful flowers from Wilder Flower Farm, meat (high welfare), flour and local sunflower oil from the Bruern Estate plus (hopefully) lots more.

To add a little more information to my news post we are particularly interested in anyone locally who may have eggs and honey they'd like to sell.

The market will take place at The Community Centre on Saturday Mornings 9.30-12.30pm from 17th September until 15th October.

If you're interested in having a stall please drop me a line: hello@oxfork.co

Whilst this intends to me mostly a food-based market we are very happy to host local makers and organisations during this initial period to get a feel of how a mix might work. All stalls will be charged at the Community Centres normal rates.

Look forward to seeing you soon!

Chloe
