After heavy overnight rain, and with young ones to feed, blue tits / great tits will search in a variety of  places since many food sources like small grubs on leaves will have been washed off, and they start searching out insects in cracks, sheltered cobwebs etc.

Early doors this morning I watched a little yellow-breasted bird working its way assiduously around the frame of our iron garden table. It seemed to be looking for things and picking them off. There were rain drops on the table…was it water or something else? Any help appreciated.
