There is a lot of information about how to do all this now available on the OCC website, which is https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/council/ukraine. There are sections for both guests and sponsors which I hope everyone will find useful.

Angela it may be better for families to contact Citizens Advice directly.  There is an office in Witney (down the alley way by the Blue Boar) and people are not being seen at the moment because of lack of volunteers.  However they will be the telephone number to contact Advice Line.   If Advice Line thinks they would benefit from a face to face appointment, then they will set up one for Witney.  Hope this makes sense!

As families and individuals begin to arrive in our area, they will need help and advice on things like universal credit, setting up a bank account, finding a doctor and a dentist, finding a school or a nursery, employment opportunities, and completing the associated forms. If you have experience of giving help of this sort (eg. Citizens Advice) and have a few hours to spare, please get in touch.

Please email with details including a phone number: ukraine@charlburyrefugee.org.uk
