I'm a current access developer based in Charlbury. Happy to help for an hourly rate although fully booked until after Easter.

There are a number of access forums which you can join to ask questions. The most active and helpful are https://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/ and https://www.accessforums.net/index.php.

Seem to recall there are members doing something similar. Many are 'newbie's' needing to know the basics to get them started

It's also worth looking for a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). These are free, except if you need a certificate of completion when there is usually a charge.

Here's what I came up with for courses on Access: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/learn-microsoft-access-5-free-online-resources/

Many UK Universities offer MOOCs, including the Open University. The University of Amsterdam offers a course in statistics for social scientists which might also suit you: https://www.coursera.org/specializations/social-science

It's worth looking at Linkedin Learning (https://www.linkedin.com/learning/).

Known previously as linda.com, it provides excellent online courses for a huge range of software, including MS Access. Unfortunately not free, but you can sign up for a free trial, or just for one month, about £30/month. It's pretty much standard now for most universities  for training staff. A month's subscription would easily be enough to learn MS Access. Look for courses with the title: 'essential training'. I've used it extensively, and found it better than any classroom taught course.

I'm wanting to build a database of 17C and 18C treason trials in order to pose queries. Would appreciate some basic tuition on constructing relational tables to get me started.

Yes but a long time ago.  What are you trying to build?

Does anyone have experience of MS Access who could teach me to build a database for a project please? Hourly rate.
