Footpath between Charlbury and Finstock

The footpath is now clear and the area has been made safe.

Please continue to be careful if walking in wooded areas whilst the wind speeds remain high.

Good evening everyone,

As you can imagine, the Estate team have been busy keeping public roads and access ways clear in the storm today.

We wanted to let you know that there is one large fallen tree bough fully blocking the footpath between North Lodge and Southill (that runs along the edge of the deer park).

It has broken the deer park fence which has been temporarily secured with panel fencing; however it was not safe to work on the fallen bough due to the wind speed and 2 further boughs (of the same tree) that are leaning above the area.

Please avoid using this section of footpath over the weekend, as we will have to leave the fallen bough in place until the ones above have been safely removed.

We will do this as soon as possible - but unfortunately this won’t be possible tomorrow (Saturday) and therefore it may be Monday before we can attend.

We will update the Forum once it has been cleared.
