Hello Jan

Apologies for the delay in replying  ...

Anyone is welcome … the key phrase is “competitive but always friendly”. In other words, entirely gender-neutral. Instead, what does count is:

- attitude - you try to win but always in a good-spirited way,

- a certain amount of ability/experience, probably having played at some time in your earlier life, and

- hopefully - at least a lingering degree of mobility! :-)

Only chaps?   Is there room for ladies?

We play badminton in the War Memorial Hall on Tuesday evenings. We call ourselves “oldies” because we are all chaps above a certain age (think of “three score plus”), and our sessions - we play doubles rather than singles - are competitive but always friendly. Perhaps you have not played badminton for a while but still feel fit enough to resume playing? Maybe, as we strive to do when we play, you can make up for what you might now lack these days in the “mobility department” by greater subtlety? :-) If you would like to find out more and perhaps arrange a preliminary session with our small, friendly group, please email stevehague01@gmail.com or phone 01608 810713.
