Thu 10 Feb 2022, 19:21 Indeed Matt - and thanks Richard - it was the one in the twitter pic - just glad it wasn't those magic mushrooms ... (just in case, only joking ok!). It also demonstrates the link through Honeybourne to Long Marston - oh for a few miles more... |

Thu 10 Feb 2022, 12:54 RealTimeTrains says it was on its way from Wimbledon to Long Marston: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:K00500/2022-02-09/detailed A quick search on Twitter for Long Marston came up with this: https://twitter.com/Magnumds1968/status/1490657818772393988 Apparently it’s electric commuter trains from South Western Railway, built c. 1990, which are coming out of service and going into store at Long Marston. I suspect ultimately they’ll go for scrap, like the mid-90s Cambridge express trains which were scrapped a couple of months ago. |

Thu 10 Feb 2022, 12:28 Network Rail run rail test trains frequently across the network; these are often bright yellow carriages pulled by Colas Rail orange/yellow locos. Given the track defect at Moreton-in-Marsh on Saturday it could well be one of these? |

Thu 10 Feb 2022, 12:20 A couple of times recently I've seen a diesel hauled, brightly coloured passenger train heading north and not stopping here, yesterday at around 2.30-2.45. Just curious if anyone knows anything? Not found on any timetable out of Oxford... |
