I have a spare Humax PVR sitting around, so that could help though we use a venerable old Topfield PVR that still works and is one of the few PVR that you can actually transfer the recording from to a PC ( by various magic ).

I also use a twin HDhomerun tuner and a Intel based NUC plex media server ( ubuntu based) which works quite well.
