Clare, I am so glad your lovely dog is home. It was my son Oscar who ditched his bike and ran with him. He was just happy he got home safe.

Speaking of special Charlbury moments, he was actually testing out a new bike up and down Ditchley Road when he saw your dog. The bike (a beautiful racer) had been given to him by a bloke from the pub who found it slightly too small but loved it dearly. He wanted it to go to someone who would enjoy it and care for it, which it is. Thanks Dave!

He made his way home. Many thanks to all the wonderful people who spotted him on his journey and sent word to the search party. Many many thanks to the search party themselves (you know who you are, we are so very very grateful). Many many many thanks to the young chap who ditched his bike and ran beside him to make sure he made it home and to the gentleman in the car who helped the young chap. We are just in awe of your community spirit.

It was such a special Charlbury moment. Such great friends, neighbours and even complete strangers can be relied on to help. We are raising a glass to you all!

Hopefully our young dog has learnt a valuable lesson!

Has your dog come back yet. If not maybe put up notices around Cleverly and Enstone.
