A bit more obsessive! It’s a more serious trainspotter. There are probably subtle differences in meaning between “gricer” and “basher” too…

I would guess it means the same as 'gongoozeler' on the canals.  Am I right Richard??

Malcolm thank you for the accolade!
On ‘gricers’ I’m glad you asked. I hoped someone would read my post!! See https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gricer . Other word look-up websites are available :)

John D - what the 'eck is a "gricer"?

BTW thanks for the weather station. We check it for every dogwalk to decide which coats to wear!

Hannen - Return via Swindon. Allegedly. Maybe it was routed earlier thru’ CBY to avoid spotters/ gricers. Must check realtimetrains later on.

Did Flying Scotsman just pass thru Charlbury? I thought it had been routed via Swindon. Haaarrrrumph…! It seems to be returning to London via Swindon.
