It's only an aim/proposal at present, and (as I understand it) the actual suggestion is that the district councils make it a condition of granting pavement licences for cafe/pub tables. Anything more than that would presumably require central Government to act. |

Thu 3 Jun 2021, 20:39 Pubs will be included and bus stops have technically been non smoking areas since the original smoking ban in 2005. I think pubs and restaurants will be up in arms about this proposed plan as they’ve taken a hit since 2005 and even more so since Covid How will all this be policed anyway? Not to mention the loss in tax revenue from tobacco sales! |
