It is indeed a classic Ridge and Furrow resulting from medieval cultivation and is a particularly good example.  The field is know as 'Glebelands' indicating that it formerly would have supported the parish priest and is still owned by the Church Commissioners.

I'd love to learn from someone about the field opposite the graveyard - why and how is it shaped like that?  It is a hill crossed by ridges and dips which are incredibly regular.
