We went to the field next to the cemetery - there’s a good slope there if you can avoid the thorns at the bottom.

Just to confirm that any sign attached to the gate is not from Ditchley Farm management.  Sheep are in the field and will avoid contact with any sledgers.  No dogs on the field though.

Just to confirm that there are sheep in the field at Hundley Bank, with the gates padlocked.  The sheep will keep out of the way for you to enjoy the snow, but only if you can climb the gate.  Obviously, no dogs with the sheep there.

Nine acres has the smaller slopes, suitable for the younger children, could be safest place for them to have fun.

That field probably not suitable for children on sledges though who are likely to crash straight into the hedge.

Ive heard some people go snowboarding in the field where quarry lane does a sharp left, not tried it myself though.

Field off Hundley Way currently a favoured dog walking spot for many, so, yes definitely open. (Nearest gate just a twine loop to hold shut)

In anticipation of perhaps some snow tomorrow - any tips for good, publicly accessible, sledging spots (for 2-4yr olds, so doesn’t need to be too extreme!) within walking distance of town?! Is the field off Hundley Way open to public? Thanks in advance!
