Thanks to Richard and mostly Helen I have made some adjustments to the coding on the two weather websites I run. Not all the problems were down to ‘caching’, one being an oversight by me! Apologies for that. Thank you Malcolm for alerting me to this.

Hi John, is it just an image file loaded via an `<img>` tag that is caching? I had a quick google, and found this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/728616/disable-cache-for-some-images, which suggests that if you have a way to append a random query string on the end of the image file name that would help. If you're not using any php or other serverside coding for your site, you'd need to find a way to do that with some JavaScript. I'd be happy to help you with that if you need it. That post also suggests a combination of `meta` tags that might possibly help if you've not tried all the options before.

Thanks Malcolm and Richard. I've had to move some data to other directories owing to the potential demise of the '.eu' web addresses. This might have precipitated the problem, however I have experienced problems with Safari (my preferred browser) not updating the main screen on 'Charlbury_weather.html' owing to some caching issues since late 2019 (sorry about the techy language but I am an Engineer by profession).

Malcolm, maybe you could try clearing your computer's cache (Please use Google to find ways of doing so if you need guidance - there are better guides there than I could explain! Other search engines are available...).

Indeed if Richard or Malcolm or anyone knows of HTML coding that prevents Safari from loading embedded files from its cache I'd be really grateful. Most internet guides offer <meta> tags related to words like 'no-cache' and 'pragma' - these do not seem to work for me and usually an old version of  https://johndoraconsulting.global/assets/CharlburyWeather.gif is loaded. Software coding is not my forté. Thanks!

Hello John, your very useful weather station seems to be stuck on 8/2/2020 for days now - it took me ages to spot the date at the top because I was finding it hard to believe the repeated coincidences of 5C  temperatures day after day! Anything gone wrong?
