On behalf of the Thames Valley Farmers (TVFM) Co-Operative and the traders at Charlbury thank you for your support and kind comments. The TVFM committee and Sarah, the office manager, have worked incredibly hard to ensure that the markets can continue to operate throughout this year and operate safely.

And the traders have worked hard to continue attending. COVID aside, trading in markets is hard work, especially in bad weather. Luckily, Saturday was a good day.
However, some precautions have had to be taken and these included a ban on samples and, for a period, a ban on selling hot food and drinks. Hopefully, as we move into 2021 there will be a return to the normal, or at least the more normal.

Absolutely agree, Nick. I took the opportunity to thank the stall-holder from the Styan family for all the work they have put into supplying their fresh vegetables, and other  produce, on their weekly (Saturday afternoon) collection basis. The veg is outstandingly good and they have increased their range as time has gone on.

Many thanks to Christine Elliott and her team of volunteers who have made this possible, ever since the early days of Covid. It’s much appreciated.

The only thing missing was a  cooked Breakfast. Well done to all the Stallholders, it was very enjoyable and hopefully, for you , worthwhile.

All Hail the Charlbury Farmers' Market, the quarterly event which has miraculously dodged all lockdowns and other restrictions this year. The fourth and final one of 2020 is this Saturday morning.

Why not eschew your asparagus from Peru and your beans from Kenya today and come along and buy interesting quality local produce with negligible food miles?
