Velux Windows Product Recall - Installations 1997 - 2003

Some Velux windows installed during the above period are being recalled as the inner glazing pane is prone to shattering spontaneously.  This happened to our bathroom window one evening recently, covering the floor with hundreds of tiny shards of glass.  Velux will send installers to replace any potentially affected glazing units free of charge - we had three replaced because two other windows were also at risk.  It only took half an hour so if you or someone you know could be affected, we strongly recommend checking the window codes with the Velux information checker.   Full info at:  https://velux-pw.velux.co.uk/?_ga=2.166737595.447046536.1560509373-1221441066.1560350180&_ga=2.166737595.447046536.1560509373-1221441066.1560350180
