We had an enjoyable half hour last night watching the Perseids meteor shower around 12.30am.  If it should clear again later, it's well worth staying up to see the sheer number of meteors and, if lucky, a shooting star or three.

It's fun watching the rainfall amount racking up in real time here  http://www.johndoraconsulting.eu/assets/FreshWDLmaster.html and the lightning here https://www.lightningmaps.org/#x=-1.4685;m=oss;r=0;t=4;s=201;o=1;b=0.58;n=0;y=51.871;z=12;d=9;dl=9;dc=0;ts=0;

Did anyone notice the amazing lightning - I believe we were seeing the storm that was hitting Northants/Warwick/Leicestershire!

Having said that the sum total we had was 5 mins of rain & a couple of rumbles of thunder!

Proof, at 6am my Driveway was wet. I agree it did not last though.

But a good, if short, downpour just now. The air feels clearer now too.
