Charlbury Museum produced a wonderful book on this topic. You can probably buy it from Cotswold Frames, or email the Museum to buy a copy.

I suspect much of the the detail on this website is taken from the book. It's called "Glover, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor: Charlbury and the First World War", and cost £8. See here: https://www.charlbury.info//community/42/events
