My TV clicking and picture flashing

I always have the re-tune notification turned off, and have decided only to re-tune very occasionally.

The problem with re-tuning is that the missing channels are then not registered until things get back to normal.

Since I record from on a Blu-ray recorder, doing a complete re-tune (or even doing an "update channels" only re-tune) is generally counterproductive as it means that I can no longer record from the channels that have disappeared -- that is, until I manage to re-tune at time when reception is once again OK.

Thankfully, my BBC channels and ITV are back, as normal, today -- as is my wifi and all the digital options (i-player,  ITV hub etc.)

Yes John. We seem to get a notification about once a week when we turn on our LG Smart TV telling us that the channel mapping has changed (from Beckley) and asking if we wish to retune now.

If we do not retune straight away, and then forget to do it, we quite often lose a few channels which reminds us we still have to retune. This has always got them all back again assuming there is no fault at the transmission aerial.

A retune of your TV will usually bring back your channels.  Works with Beckley transmitter, not sure of Walcot one.  John H

Sky went down from Sat evening, now back up & working, can’t help but suspect the works going on for Gigaclear had something to do with this.

I’m with Talk Talk for broadband and live at The Green and someone else I’ve heard from is with Vodafone For their broadband, so it’s obviously an overarching system fault.

I only have a few TV channels via my aerial (missing BBC and ITV) , and none on broadband. I am a BT customer.

Are we talking about aerial reception of broadcast TV problems or loss of internet TV arriving over a broadband connection?

We have full broadband connection here in Little Lees and good aerial TV reception at the moment.

Is this a connection to a lady who trespassed across my field and photographed the BT Telegraph Pole ???

Dear Christine. Something is not right. I could not open your entry at first. I checked local transmission which shows no problems.

My WiFi is flickering on and off, not sure if that's affecting your TV.

If this is a transmission problem, is no one else affected?

It was OK until then. I rely on Tv for company and watch news, cricket etc.

Jean, probably something to do with the recent roadworks!

Then it goes off with No Signal sign.Is something being affected locally? The aerial appears to be OK.
