Yes Rachel he has. I've just had some excellent advice through the Forum email service. FAR more effective than the  GOV UK helplines which have practically ceased to function. Long live the Forum!

HIs situation is not straightforward is not covered  by the website information. The helpline is not functioning

"How to get a National Insurance number" it explains you can get it online. Hope this helps.

I'd be grateful for a bit of (without responsibility!) advice. Our grandson who is resident in Africa is coming to live with us though will be going to University in Holland. He needs an NI number for various reasons. Help! If you know anything send me an email through the forum.
