My partner's 15-year old niece Clare played the Last Post for Anzac Day in Armidale, Australia on 25th April; she sent us a clip, and I shall try to play it at 2:55pm.

I might play "Flowers" on Woodfield Drive at around 3.15pm. Depends on how rusty I decide I am!

I could play Flowers of the Forest on the bagpipe as a WWII Cameron HIghlander piper as seen on this page wym-1588874619212  .

When and where is the most suitable venue?  Of course, social distancing needs to be the rule which is why official events have been cancelled.

The main info is here wym-1588875288921  Time 1455.

The recommended tune for the pipes is "Battle's O'er". Youtube

I could play it on my recorder? Not sure the sound would travel far though!

That sounds very appropriate . If you look at pageantmaster@veday75.org you will find the official programme with timings.

I'm not a brass or pipe player, so cannot help with either of the tunes mentioned ...
... but I might play "Flowers of The Forest" on Appalachian Dulcimer outside my house at a suitable time of the day, if that is deemed to be fitting.

Do we have Buglers, Cornet Players or Trumpeters ready to play the Last Post at 2.55pm on Friday from the safety of their gardens ? Then at 3pm, The piping of Battle’s O’er and VE 75 Years.  Can this be streamed so that we can all enjoy it?
