We are sad not to be able to ring for VE Day and look forward to ringing again when it is safe for us to do so.  Our current situation is not entirely unprecedented though, because church bells also fell silent for a very different reason during WWII.  If you are interested in this story and the lifting of that ban you may enjoy listening to this podcast from "Fun with Bells".  It is very pertinent to today's commemoration of VE Day - enjoy!

I've just found this recording from one of our practices in 2016.  No very long but at least a chance to hear them again.

Can someone produce a recording of Church Bells for VE DAY to be played at a certain time during the day or evening? So we can all hear them.
