S3 & 7 buses

Really pleased that the Town Council has approached Stagecoach with regard to the reinstatement of some S3 journeys, all of which have been cancelled from Monday.

However, it is worth noticing that there is an extra bus from Oxford through Charlbury and on to Spelsbury, Chadlington & Chipping Norton.

It's a no 7 bus: it leaves Oxford (Magdalen St) at 18.35, travels via Oxford Parkway, arrives at Wychwood Close at 19.30 and from there on to Chipping Norton at 19.48. The timetable is here: https://tiscon-maps-stagecoachbus.s3.amazonaws.com/Timetables/Oxford_Timetables/temp/7_valid_from_22_March_2020.pdf

Confusingly, this temporary timetable for the no 7 bus doesn't give the details of the 6.20 a.m. no. 7 service which Richard has noted. This reaches The Bell (from Chipping Norton) at 6.20 a.m. and runs into Oxford (also via Oxford Parkway) -- for details of this, you need to look at the S3 temporary timetable (even though this is, indeed, a no 7 bus).

Baffled! -- well so is Stagecoach obviously! Stagecoach has made a real mess of the published timetables for Charlbury over the last few months, and this is obviously still continuing now.

It's also worth noting that the S3 and no 7 buses stop at adjacent bus stops at Oxford Magdalen Street. As there is often a long queue of buses at those 2 stops, it's very easy to miss the no 7, especially since it often leaves Oxford later than the advertised time.
