Save our Theatre :(

I hope this is okay to post on here. I know a lot of locals will use The Theatre whether that is to attend Panto or Youth Theatre etc. Please help us if you can - stay safe x

Dear Theatre Supporter,

This week we sadly had to announce that we have closed The Theatre to members of the public until at least Sunday 26th of April. This means suspending all performances, screenings and workshops to avoid spreading COVID-19 (coronavirus).

Since our announcement we have been overwhelmed by your messages of support and solidarity. As well as a number of donations.

This is a major crisis for us, and its impact threatens the future of The Theatre. With no performances, around 75% of our income has disappeared overnight.

In light of this we have set up the Head Above Water campaign to help fundraise for The Theatre. The money raised will help us to ensure that we can open again once it is safe to do so. Our Theatre has been bringing joy to our community for the past 47 years and we want to continue to do so for another 47!!

We would like to thank everybody who has donated so far. If you haven't already and could help The Theatre survive please consider making a donation now.
