If they work you could try advertising them on Freecycle or one of the local Facebook groups for selling/giving away items.

Thank you, Clare.   That's a very useful link, though, apart from listing their waste recycling centres, they only suggest where to get your TV mended.  I have a couple that work but I would rather find a home for them, if possible, before giving up and taking them to Stanton Harcourt pit.

Does anyone know of somewhere that recycles old televisions?  I've managed to find one charity shop chain that takes electrical items but they only accept flat screen TVs..
