Brigid, I've experienced the same. A man came and inspected the tree promising a quote, but I've heard nothing since and a voicemail wasn't returned. Will go elsewhere now.

More recently we've used Cotswold Logs, they are more expensive - but the logs have been kiln dried - so they are more dry and so burn more efficiently. I was reading how burning unseasoned wood means much of the energy they generate is spent boiling off the moisture within them.

Has anyone had contact with this firm recently? After reading recommendations on the Forum I rang them and was visited very soon afterwards by one of their men who promised me a quotation. Four weeks later, nothing.  An email I sent them went unanswered, and phone calls are diverted to voicemail.
