A new take on an old scam

We had one of these calls the other day. They can be very worrying for those unaware of a possible scam, please make sure you make family and friends aware.

We've not had this one before:  Recorded voice on the phone saying that the message is from "the Visa and Mastercard security department of your bank" (which is suitably vague to cover all eventualities) notifying that "£600 has been withdrawn from your account 15 minutes ago in a foreign country" (equally vague).  Press 1 for this, 2 for that and so on - which probably means that they are trying to get the unwary to tell them their account details, PIN and the rest - just to ensure that the transaction does not go through (of course).  Believe it at your financial peril.
