Wed 8 May 2019, 09:31 WEEE Charity in Warrington will securely destroy and recycle your old IT equipment for charitable purposes. They'll collect from your door. They come with lots of endorsements and I found them friendly and efficient. (That said, I'm still waiting for them to email me the certificates of destruction a couple of months on...) |

Tue 7 May 2019, 15:32 Make sure you remove all information on the hard drive before you get rid of it. Years ago I came across a free tool called Eraser https://eraser.heidi.ie/. No guarantees from me of course. Then you might be able to donate it to some refugee action? |

Tue 7 May 2019, 13:03 (last edited on Tue 7 May 2019, 13:07) I take my cartridges to Oxford Vapours 37A Corn St, Witney OX28 6BT where I also pick up new cartridges. I am fairly sure that they would take cartridges without an exchange as well. But you could phone to check: 01993 358268 I would struggle to get my desktop computer in the black recycling box &, for security reasons, I wouldn't much like to leave it out on the street in the box. I know I can take it to the tip. But are there any better ideas? |
