Can't upload poster (Admin discussions)

Hi there

I'm trying to upload a poster onto the Events page on behalf of the library. I did this yesterday, successfully I thought, but when the final entry appeared on the page, my typed text was fine but the poster just appeared as a link, rather than the actual poster.  I can't work out what I'm doing wrong, or is it a glitch?  It's a PDF document, which I'm not sure is acceptable to the website, but I don't seem to be able to resave it in another format like jpg, incase that would help the upload.  I really need to promote this ASAP as it's an event in the Easter holidays, so I could do with some urgent advice.  Many thanks.
