Burglary on Fawler Road today

Last night a colleague of mine had his car driven in to and severely damaged in Warwickshire. The number plates were stolen from his dark blue BMW saloon the plate number starts with S17 so is fairly distinctive. This has been reported to the police already. I fear the plates might be used for a robbery and/or put on a stolen car.

Apparently 10 in total and another in Ashford Close, Woodstock today. All west Oxfordshire and all smashed windows. Be vigilant folks.

The story on the News Page is about a burglary on Enstone Rd (or actually 2 burglaries if you look at the Police Crime page -- one in Charlbury on 19/1 & one half an hour later in Enstone).

I can't see anything about a burglary on the Fawler Rd on 21/1 which is, of course, on the other side of town.

How many active neighbourhood watch schemes are there in the town at the present time? Given the increase in crime, perhaps the whole town should/could make a concerted effort with regard to a bit of crime deterrent? What does anyone else think?

The same car identified Black VW Golf D14 .....
