Thu 27 Sep 2018, 14:29 Thank you to everyone who came to make this morning's Macmillan Cancer Care fundraiser such a success. We will publish the amount raised and inform the successful auction bidders after the Saturday night deadline. The event was marred by the fact that some individual or individuals helped themselves to the wallet of one of the organisers. The consequent financial loss was considerable; but the loss of faith in human nature and the generosity of others, which should be associated with such an event, was even more telling for all concerned. If anyone has any information about this please report it to the police. |
